AXN wanted us to develop a series of Idents with the stand-up comedian MacPhantom. The premise was to highlight the fact that the channel shows its movies in their original language with subtitles, unlike some of the competition who usually dub them. The difficulty lay in that the strength of MacPhantom’s performance was based in the recreation of object and live situations sounds, and in how to integrate these interpretations in post-produced institutional works without losing the strength of the stage performance.
Taking 3 sub-genres of the action movies, we developed these Ids with the slogan ‘Action in original language,’ humorously referring to clichés to show the advantages of watching contents in the original language.
